What are Rows?

As we study the life of Jesus, we see that “temple life” was essential to him. He was often in synagogues, at the temple for feasts and teaching large groups of people. Rows represent the experience we have with our larger church family. The word "family" is very important to us.

We believe that the members of a local church should deeply care about one another, defend one another, trust their leadership, serve one another and set aside their personal preferences for the sake of others.

We believe the local church is the hope of the world. The church, as the body of Christ is here to continue and extend the work of Christ. As jesus said, "I will build my church."

We believe each local church has a unique role to play in God's kingdom. We, therefore, will not criticize other churches.

We also recognize our own role is to create a large church from people who are away from God. To do this we strive to become as attractive as we can to those outside the church without compromising Christ's message.  We agree with the idea of being a church unchurched people love to attend. We want everyone from the curious to the skeptical to want to return--even if they are not ready to receive Christ.

We seek to create an environment where an unchurched person will be blown away with everything that we have to offer.
When we say "Rows" we are talking about our perspective on what church is and how we interact with our larger church family.

What We Believe

We believe in God; a being all powerful, all knowing, and kind. We learn about God through the world around us and through the Bible. We consider the Bible to be the Word of God, inspired by God, the only written and infallible source of truth. We believe the Bible teaches us that God has revealed himself to us in three distinct persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

We believe people were created perfect and free. They were set in a beautiful garden, but were seduced and broke God’s spoken word to them. This tendency was grafted into human beings, destroying the gift of life, causing a debt of punishment and dividing them from the love of God.

In this state there was no hope and we would have perished. Then God’s love for the people He had created caused Him to send His Son to us. His Name is Jesus. Jesus was a real person who was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, performed amazing miracles and taught truth. Jesus was innocent yet condemned, giving His life to restore all that was lost.

We can now find forgiveness in the belief that Jesus was sent by God to pay the debt for our sins against God incurred. As new creatures in God, a joyful, peaceful and fulfilling life awaits us in God’s church. We believe the ministry Jesus had on the earth is available to His church through the gifts of the Holy Spirit.

We believe that Jesus will return for His people, but if we depart this earth before then, we know we will find our place in heaven with God.

We believe in a final day of judgment where we will all stand before God to be accountable for our deeds on the earth.
